Ok so nurses start at 28 an hour and get raises every year. At 10 years they get a bigger raise and COLA increase. My wife makes 50$ an hour no weekends or holidays with 17 years on the job. According to the fire contract a firefighter with 17 years on the job makes 31.00 an hour. So your point is that a nurse that is brand new starts out at about the same as an 17 year veteran of the fire department. Good point. But what does my my wife know right. 31 dollars an hour to most likely get cancer, PTSD, injured. !00 plus firemen die in the line of duty every year and the number of firemen who committed suicide was well over 100 in 2019. Since we are comparing nurses to firemen how many nurses die in the line of duty every year? But what do I know
