To the Editor,
Currently we are faced with the support of two foreign wars, civil unrest, and tragic active shooter incidents Also, Congress must act prudently by November 17 to avoid a partial government shutdown.
If a shut down occurs military families and those on government funded programs will be adversely affected during the shut down.
As we approach the holiday season try to support those who are fleeing from war or recovering from active shooters.
Now is the time we should be grateful for the men and women who make our lives safe and secure. Our military, first responders, medical teams, educators, civil service employees and religious leaders.
Enjoy the coming holidays. We are truly blessed living in this wonderful county of ours. If you need a reminder just look at the large number of migrants risking their lives just to enter.
Have a safe holiday season.
