Alfred F. Henry 89, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline J. (Toye) Henry. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Albert and Catherine (McLaughlin) Henry.
Al worked as an Iron Worker at Local 37 for 40 years. In his spare time Al liked working in his yard, especially in his garden. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, making bird houses, wind chimes. He was a collector of model cars and trucks, Texaco memorabilia, he had even restored an old Texaco gas pump to go with his collection. Al had an extensive collection of chickens and roosters. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughters.
He was the loving father of Catherine M. Bonang and her husband Joseph. Adoring Papa of Jennifer Randall and her husband Keith, and great Papa to Syd, and Hailey Randall. He was the brother of the late Albert “Joe” Henry Jr., Willard Henry, Peter Henry, Martha Gregson, Elizabeth “Betty” Marchetti, Evelyn Canning, John Henry, and Joan MaGee.
His funeral service will be on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit on Thursday from 9 – 11 a.m. The burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Cemetery, Warwick.
