He’s never let you down

To the Editor,

It’s been said that all lives are failures in some degree or another. Somewhere along the line we lose our edge and even when we achieve, the compromises we’ve made and the injuries we’ve inflicted on others tarnishes the achievements. This is especially true in marriage.

Two people who began a life together deeply in love after a few years find themselves becoming tired of their partner and begin to criticize each other and find no joy in their accomplishments. This situation becomes much worse if there are young children involved. It also becomes heartbreaking when one of them decides to have an affair. No matter how secretive the person may be the spouse can always feel the presence of someone else near by. Now the spouse is placed in a position where by if they confront their partner they need to be very careful because if they express anger their partner can always retaliate by threatening to call the police.

Nothing is guaranteed in this life time and commitment has become a thing of the past. The only person who will never let you down or try to destroy you is the Lord. Remember Him during this time of Lent only He gave His life for us.
