Joan (Wells) McGraw, 85, one of the City of Warwick’s first female school bus driver’s for 38 years passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at the Brentwood Nursing Home.

Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucille Wells. She was the former wife of the late Joseph E. McGraw. Joan was a member of the William Shields Post #43 Auxiliary, and the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Barn. Joan loved living on Warwick Pond where she raised her family since 1961, traveling with her son, Charlie, and also helping her son at his flower shop, Char’s Florist. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Joan was the loving mother of Charles N. “Charlie” McGraw, and sister of Charles W. Wells.

A private funeral service was held Saturday, May 16, 2020 in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
