To the Editor:
Leap year 2020 will come with many challenges both foreseen and unseen. The concerns from 2019 will roll over with a few being resolved while others will appear with no apparent solutions.
We are currently experiencing a disgruntle Congress, increase in active shooters, wars in the mid east, drugs, racism, immigration, and environmental concerns. All need to be addressed. Looking forward there is the general elections and the unsure final verdict of the impeachment process.
An honor long overdue is the need for Congress to pass Resolution (H.CON.RES.37) “Honoring the Nation’s First Responders Day.” It has been in the House for over a year with no action. The Senate has already passed their version (S.CON.RES.15) last year.
Make your new year one of new and exciting adventures in travel, learning new technology, or contributing to worthwhile projects for the many less fortunate. Enjoy the year ahead.
