Mary M. (Houlton) Ridgewell

Mary M. (Houlton) Ridgewell, age 80, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Greenville Center in Smithfield. She was the wife of Robert W. Ridgewell, Jr.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Peter and Esther (Moore) Houlton, she lived in Warwick since 1966. Mrs. Ridgewell was employed at Rhode Island Hospital Trust Bank, later Bank of America. She also worked at ADP (Automated Data Processing). She participated in the Tri-City Lodge of Elks Hi-Lo-Jack League, and greatly enjoyed her lunch dates with her girl friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert W. Ridgewell, III of Bethany Beach, DE and Steven J. Ridgewell of Paxton, MA; a daughter, Lynn E. Eaton of Warwick; and ten grandchildren, Robert, Ryan, Jessica, Janelle, Caroline, Cameron, and Colin Ridgewell, Jack and Leah Eaton, and Angelina McNeal. She was the sister of the late Peter Houlton, Bernard Houlton, Constance Fournier, and Leah Houlton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 23, at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Friends may visit at the church, prior to the Mass, from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. (Facial coverings and social distancing will be required.) Due to COVID-19 restrictions, her burial in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket, will be private.
