The second Monday city vaccination clinic for residents 75 and older held at Veterans Middle School ran smoothly as 640 people were inoculated. Fire Chief Peter McMichael said the plan calls for two more consecutive Monday clinics of 640 people unless the Department of Health increases the doses. Four weeks of Monday clinics will follow during which people will receive their second dose. McMichael is confident that the city clinics will be capable to vaccinate all those who registered for the shot. As was the case for the first clinic, volunteers from school nurses, firefighters and people looking to assist worked the event starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m. Vaccinations are only done by appointment, which can be made on the city website.
