NAMI Rhode Island (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and BH Link (Behavioral Heath Link) are jointly hosting a mental health resource presentation at the Warwick Library's large meeting room on Monday, February 24 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Guest speakers from both organizations will provide information on education, training, and advocacy for those experiencing mental health issues, and their loved ones. The purpose is to end the prejudice of facing a mental illness issue, and explain the support programs and treatment options available for children, teens and adults.
BH Link offers a 24-hour triage center for immediate assistance for a person in crisis in an atmosphere offering an alternative to a traditional hospital setting. The Hope & Recovery Support Line is (401) 942-STOP (7867). NAMI offers an array of programs and services for individuals living with mental illness, their family members and loved ones, schools, community organizations and the general public. All programs are free of charge. For more information on what NAMI RI has to offer, contact NAMI at (401) 331-3060.
The Warwick Library is located at 600 Sandy Lane, Warwick.
