Off His Axis

Posted

My Jesus was born to me on Christmas Day

Not on satin or Nile cotton but on hay.

A simple stable provided his home

Not a castle or gated community in Paris or Rome.

Cold and frigid was this night

But hearts were warm and feeling right.

Now the world is topsy-turvy

Hurled through space forever swervy,

A new world order here right now?

If not now the time, then how

Can we put it back on axis?

To pull it back from Satan's practice.

From that night so long ago

When God came to help us know

Of his love for all to feel

Not fear, isolation, and a socialist deal.

Help us Lord come back to you

To church to worship and be with people

To love one another

Let every bell and every steeple

Bring your love brother to brother.
