Pull out your bathing suit, find those goggles, and start practicing your dives because McDermott Pool will be open and ready for swimmers starting Monday, June 26. The grand reopening will be held at 9 a.m. Mayor Frank Picozzi and director of parks and recreation Bev Wiley will be on hand to answer questions regarding why the pool has been closed since March 2020, repairs done, a new modified schedule, and capacity limits. Pool use will be free to Warwick residents for one month starting Monday. The City will also honor pool passes that were unused due to the COVID pandemic and closure of the pool.
