A new rapid Covid-19 testing site opened for asymptomatic Rhode Islanders Wednesday at the Shops at Greenwood, Suite 15 and 17, near the Rhode Island Blood Center on Greenwich Avenue.
An appointment is not required for the self-administered test, and results will be provided within 15 minutes. The Rhode Island National Guard will be on hand to instruct anyone who has questions. The site is open to all Rhode Islanders, but only to people without symptoms. Those with symptoms should be isolating and getting a PCR test.
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The test is free.
“This new testing site will help get more Rhode Islanders tested, and hopefully get case numbers down across the state. It was made possible through a private partnership with the Rhode Island National Guard, the City of Warwick, and a private business,” said Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi in a statement.
