RIHA to Host Entry-Level Cook Training Program March 2nd through March 20th

Level Cook Training Program from Monday, March 2nd to Friday, March 20th at the Genesis Center in Providence. This program will review the specific qualities, behaviors and skill sets that are required of successful line cooks in the hospitality industry. Students will spend the first two weeks of the program studying and honing their skills within the classroom; during the third week, they will be given the opportunity to intern inside a commercial kitchen of their choice and experience hands-on training.

Selected participants will not only be educated on kitchen safety, food safety and sanitation, kitchen operations and equipment, knife skills, recipe reading, teamwork, conflict resolution, resume writing and interview skills, but can earn two nationally recognized certificates. The course curriculum revolves around the importance of following instructions and executing them safely and efficiently.
