Richard H. Riordan 72, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband of Susan (Corry) Riordan, they had been married for 33 years before his passing. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Wallace and Carolyn (Howard) Riordan, Sr.
Richard was a graduate of La Salle Academy, 1969 and Providence College, 1973. Richard was the proprietor of Riordan Liquors on Chalkstone Avenue in Providence before its closing. He recently retired from Twin River Casino.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Corry McConnell and his wife Christine, Tracey McConnell and her husband Joseph Amaral, and Ross Riordan. He was the adoring grandfather of Samantha and Jack McConnell. He was the brother of Wallace and the late Diane Riordan, Stephen and Charlene Riordan, Terrance Riordan, Carolyn (Riordan) and Christopher Totolo, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Richard’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 3 p.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will be private.
