(I saw something lovely today
As the snow was fading away).
Some little green sprouts, (a few ! ) …..
Determined to make their stand.
How wonderful to see
That hardened ground give way
To seeming tender “messages”,
… like dawnings of a day.
They do not seem to care,
as they now “meet the air”,
that storms may come
and turn them brown.
For fateful things
Can’t keep them down.
Their seed is hidden in the ground,
And winter will not keep them down.
Their Maker does still wear His Crown.
