Thomas G. Hanley, age 88, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Alarie) Hanley. They celebrated 60 years of marriage in May.

Born in Providence, a son of the late John J. and Esther (Hawkins) Hanley, he lived in Warwick since 1960. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and attended Bryant College. Mr. Hanley was employed by New England Telephone Co. for 44 years in Providence and Boston, retiring as a district manager. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He was an active parishioner at St. Kevin Church in Warwick.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Merilee J. Hanley of Warwick, Kimberly J. Caravana of N. Dartmouth, MA, Sandra L. Hanley- Stansfield of North Kingstown, Sally A. Hanley-Whitworth of Oviedo, FL, and Ashley M. Hanley of Warwick; and six grandchildren, First Lieutenant Stephen Caravana, U.S. Army, Sean Caravana, Thomas Stansfield, Anna Stansfield, Brendan Whitworth, and Austin Whitworth. He was the brother of the late John Hanley, Margaret Killian, Esther McGill, and Joseph Hanley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 31, at 11 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. (Facial coverings and social distancing will be required.) Burial will be private in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
