The Toll Gate wrestling team has been enjoying a big campaign this winter and put on another show in Connecticut last weekend when they placed fourth overall at the Griswold tournament, which hosted teams from across New England. Jack Sabatelli and Kason Wirtz took first place in their divisions, 106 pounds and 138 pounds respectively, while Marcos Ramirez and Jared Sabatelli took second. John Ricci placed third at heavyweight for the Titans, while Landon Mahar and Carlos Us-Spaziano took fourth. Ben DeNoncour reached the podium at 132 pounds with a fifth-place finish. Toll Gate sent two grapplers to compete on the girls’ side and each placed, with Victoria Salinas winning at 144 pounds and Angel Bui taking third at 114.
