EMERGING 2020
Juried Show: Aug. 29-Sept. 26
As the world around us continues to rapidly change and evolve, we look to the younger generation to create our future. This show calls upon young artists, aged 16-22, to show us the world through their eyes. The exhibit will be juried by a panel of art educators. Excellence awards will be announced at our Opening Reception (details forthcoming). Works will be original and available for purchase.

‘The Wonderful World of Black & White Photography’ with Cindy Wilson
New dates: Wednesdays
Aug. 26, 6-8 p.m., online
Sept. 2, 5-7 p.m., in-person/field class
Sept. 9, 6-8 p.m., online In this three-part class, we begin by learning to “see” in black white and gray tones. Using Zoom, we will first look at black and white images and discuss their visual elements, how colors translate into black and white and look at photographers who work primarily in that medium. We spend our second session photographing in the field, practicing the concepts of seeing and capturing black and white images. Session three is back on Zoom, introducing software and post processing. (Loaner cameras are available upon request.)
