Shortly before 1 p.m. on Aug. 19, Officer Brian Holleran met with a reporting party at Warwick Police headquarters regarding a larceny complaint.

The reporting party told Holleran that the catalytic converter had been removed from his roommate’s 2008 Saturn Outlook while it was parked at New England Tech. The roommate arrived at the school at approximately 7:15 a.m. and discovered the damage when his class ended just before 11 a.m.

SHOPLIFTING

Shortly before 1 p.m. on Aug. 9, Officer Brian Holleran responded to the Walmart at 650 Bald Hill Road for a report of a shoplifting incident in progress. Dispatch advised that a female suspect had left the store and was traveling toward Kohl’s in a silver Toyota Camry.

Holleran was unable to locate the vehicle upon arriving at the scene. He then spoke with a loss prevention officer from the store, who said the suspect had removed several items from their packaging and attempted to conceal them before exiting the store without making any attempt to pay.

The woman had been met in the parking lot and initially agreed to return inside the store, but then ran toward her vehicle and left the scene. The merchandise was recovered, according to the loss prevention officer.

Holleran observed security camera footage of the incident, and the matter was documented.
